The programs of the College of
Science and Engineering are designed to provide students with knowledge
and experiences necessary for successful careers and further study in
science, engineering, and mathematics. We also assist in the preparation
of K-12 mathematics and science teachers, and provide experiences in the
sciences and mathematics for all TCU undergraduate students. All this
is accomplished with dedicated faculty and exceptional students.
The faculty are committed to
teaching, and are actively engaged in scholarly activity that contributes
to their profession and informs their teaching on all levels. Opportunities
for participation in research exist in every department and program
of the college. Besides working with graduate students where programs
exist, many faculty involve undergraduates in their research programs.
Students who engage in such activities have learning experiences
that go well beyond those available in a traditional undergraduate
curriculum.
Graduate programs are offered in
Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology, Mathematics, Physics
and Astronomy, and Psychology. The College also has several credentialed
programs. The Nutritional Sciences Department offers programs of study
accredited by the American Dietetic Association. The Engineering Department
is ABET accredited; the Computer Science degree is also accredited by
the Computing Sciences part of ABET. And the Chemistry Department offers
a program leading to professional certification by the American Chemical
Society.
I encourage you to browse our site

the College of Science and Engineering.

Michael D. McCracken, Dean
